What is an Automatic Dock Leveler?

How does an automatic dock leveler work?

Depending on the type of dock levelers and the design unit, there will be different operating methods. However, the device has a general operating process as follows:

Step 1: Open the Lip. The operator will press the button to open the lip to create a bridge point between the warehouse floor and the transport vehicle.

Step 2: Raise/Lower the dock leveler. The operator will adjust the height of the platform to match the vehicle floor.

Step 3: Load/Unload goods. The forklift operator will move up and down between the warehouse floor and the vehicle floor to load/unload goods.

Step 4: After completing the loading/unloading, perform the reverse operation of steps 1 and 2.
